Mid
Ontario Snowmobile Trails is a group of volunteer run snowmobile clubs
located in District 8 of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.
Our trail system from
West to East starts south west of Collingwood west of a little place
called Feversham, that Osprey Snowhawks call home. Collingwood's snowmobile
club is called the Blue Mountain Snowdrifters. If you leave their
system riding east it will take you to the Wasaga Snowmobile Club
trail system. Continuing east, Wasaga links with the Barrie Club which
stretches south to Hwy 90. Minesing Swampriders connects to Barrie
Snowmobile Club and the Sno Voyageurs of Barrie. North on the map
to Georgian Bay Snowriders in Midland/Penetang and then east to Orillia
District Snowmobile Association. Orillia District Snowmobile Association's
trails surround Lake Couchiching and meet Muskoka Snowmobile Region
and Carden Sno-Drifters in several places.
The most easterly club in the District is the Carden Snowdrifters.
Their trails stretch from Sebright to Lagoon City and Kirkfield and
they meet with trails leading to Coboconk.
Many sections of our trail system are multi-use. So please be prepared
to expect & respect others on the trails.
The clubs groom, brush
and maintain almost 1,200 km of trails. The clubs are using a variety
of industrial groomers. The majority of the grooming will occur at
night, but in order to groom all of the trails several times per week
the groomers are out at all hours day & night. Be prepared to
stop and let them pass.
