705-429-1479. The Nottawasaga river passes many historical sites such
as Schooner Town, the winter headquarters of the Royal Navy on Lake
Huron and Glengarry landing, where Glengarry Light Infantry built 29
Bateau in a desperate expedition to relieve the British Troops at Fort
MacKinac and save it from Invasion. There are over 200 species of birds
to see, a variety of mammals, including weasels, muskrats or even an
occasional black bear.
