Nottawasaga River Canoe Route

Maps are available from the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority 705-429-1479. The Nottawasaga river passes many historical sites such as Schooner Town, the winter headquarters of the Royal Navy on Lake Huron and Glengarry landing, where Glengarry Light Infantry built 29 Bateau in a desperate expedition to relieve the British Troops at Fort MacKinac and save it from Invasion. There are over 200 species of birds to see, a variety of mammals, including weasels, muskrats or even an occasional black bear.

Enjoy your stay in Wasaga Beach even more when you venture out into Georgian Bay on one of our rental Sea-Doos. Wasaga Sea-Doo Rentals is located at the main end of Wasaga Beach near Beach Area 1, right beside the Main Street bridge on the Nottawasaga River. We are open on weekends starting  May 15th till the end of the labour day weekend. We are open 7 days a week from mid June to early September.
